Animals Matter to Me Campaign
‘Animals Matter To Me’ represents the biggest ever global animal welfare initiative linking the entire animal welfare movement under one strategic goal — global recognition that animals matter, that they can feel pain and can suffer and that we have responsibility to put an end to animal cruelty around the world.
Yudisthira Foundation as a member society of World Society for the Protection of Animal proudly support the Universal Declaration for Animal Welfare (UDAW) petition that is being circulated worldwide.
The achievement of this declaration would be a ground breaking step towards improvements for animals all around the world and would act as a catalyst for change in the following ways.
- By raising the status of animal welfare as an international issue;
- By encouraging governments to improve their national animal welfare legislation;
- By providing a basis for animal welfare legislation in countries where it does not already exist.
